Day 4: On the Road Again

My husband and I had many fun plans this weekend, going to a reception for his friend, a bridal shower on my side of the family, and taking engagement pictures for my cousin and his fiance… however we had to do a lot of driving to do in order to get to these places. The reception was in Idaho, and Day 4 day was all about getting there. Driving long distances has kind of become just something that me and my husband have had to do. He grew up in Idaho, his parents live in Wyoming, and my parents are in Utah. So in order to see everyone, we have to do a lot of driving.

So, for my pictures today, I just wanted to share some of the things we saw on the road.

holding hands

Firstly, I like road trips because I get to be with Eric for long periods of time. With both of us working, me during the day and him many nights, I treasure every moment I get to spend with him. And we hold hands all along the way (at least unless it’s bad weather and I make him have both hands on the wheel).

While we were still in Wyoming, we had an Antelope decide he wanted to race us. He was running along side the car for a little while. Freaked us out ‘cause we weren’t sure if he was going to turn and run into us, but he didn’t so it’s all good. Clocked him going at 32 mph, which totally contradicts the sign saying they are entering the highway at 55 mph :P

Truck Pics horz

Also, once we were almost to Pocatello, Idaho, we saw this monster sized “Over Sized Load” traveling down the road. Looks to me like the back of some kind of truck (but I’m no expert). It was taking up pretty much both lanes. And so, since you don’t see something like that everyday, I took a picture.

Anyways, those are just a couple of pictures from our drive from Wyoming to Idaho. I’ll include more pics from our trip in the next couple of posts.

Have a great day! :)
