365 Day Photo Challenge: Day 2

BroncoMy picture today is a picture of my ride that I’ve been driving to work on and off for the past week. Since my husband’s ranger currently has a snowmobile in the back, he’s been driving our car to school because it gets better gas mileage than this beast. It’s my husband’s pride and joy, it’s his Ford Bronco! (and that’s about all I can tell you about it, though I’m sure he would go into much more detail like how it’s an Eddie Bower edition, and so on and so forth. I myself am not much of a car person).

However even though I couldn’t give you the low-down on the mechanics or details, I realized today how many memories and stories are connected to this vehicle. And I haven’t even been acquainted with it for very long.

I can tell you it’s huge. It feels like I’m taking up the whole road when I drive it. In fact on his mission, my husband told some kids that this vehicle would take up all of one of their England streets. They thought it was amazing, a car as big as the road!

My father-in-law has also spent a lot of time working on the Bronco. He is a mechanic and completely rebuilt the transmission not too long ago. It made my husband so happy when he was able to drive the Bronco around again.

Eric was so excited when he was able to take me for a ride in it, but I’m sorry to say that I didn’t like it so much. It is not the smoothest ride, to put it gently. But even though I wasn’t sure how I felt about it at first, I think it’s safe to say that this truck has grown on me. I enjoy the time I get to drive it around. Though I think I will still have to have Eric fill it up with gas so I don’t see how much it really costs to fuel, and also I will have to try not to get jealous when my husband calls it “sexy.” :P
